Created in conjunction with Elite Ultra Runner and JFK 50 Mile Winner/Course Record Holder Runner Hayden Hawks, our Hot Weather Running Socks combine Drymax fibers with PTFE(Polytetrafluoroethylene) fibers to limit heat caused by excess friction. This system has PTFE fibers in the heel, forefoot, and toe areas of the socks. Additionally, to help keep feet cool, built-in open mesh stripe vents release heat and sweat vapors. The 1/4 Crew leg height helps protect your ankles on both the road and trail.
PTFE has the lowest Coefficient of Friction of any fiber, making it the best at keeping friction low between the skin and sock. Low friction allows Hot Weather socks to stay cooler and drier, reducing the chances of hot spots & blisters.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Machine Wash warm with like colors. To whiten socks, use bleach alternatives. Tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron.
Do not use fabric softeners; they leave a residual coating on fibers and fabrics, preventing them from performing as designed. To remove fabric softeners, simply launder with detergent and rinse.
Do not use Chlorine Bleach.
CENTURION REVIEW: Drymax stay impossibly dry despite the conditions. Their varying thicknesses' attribute as much to warmth as protection. The key with foot care is removing either moisture, heat or friction. Blisters are avoided when any one of these three factors is removed. Drymax stay so dry that on pulling them out of the washing machine, they already feel almost completely dry to the touch. We've worn these socks on all terrain and in all conditions and quite simply nothing else comes close to the level of blister protection they offer. They are on the whole much cheaper than other competing brands, money which in our opinion, is wasted. Wear these and you're unlikely to go back to anything else.
Check the size you need on the table below. These socks are cut as Crew. See diagram below for representation of where they will sit.
