La Sportiva Cyklon Cross GTX

The Cyklon Cross GTX is La Sportiva's winter Gore-Tex trail running shoe with integrated water-repellent gaiter and BOA® Fit System lacing. Designed for off-road training and racing in the winter months.

The GORE-TEX membrane of the shoe itself, is waterproof and breathable and works in synergy with the water-repellent gaiter to prevent mud and snow getting in. The overall fit comfort is achieved through the “Easy-in” system that makes it quick and easy to put the shoes on - far easier than the regular Cyklon. The BOA® Fit System offers greater precision and speed when adjusting the fit of the shoe. The sole is made from FriXion® White, a mix that offers excellent grip and is designed to be used with AT Grip spikes to enhance grip on snowy and icy terrain. CENTURION REVIEW: These are in our opinion the first true combination of winter performance vs weight. The Cyklon Cross GTX looks like a boot, but responds like a performance trail running shoe. It is light and flexible throughout. The Gore Tex upper means that water is prevented from getting into the shoe. The Water Repellent gaiter then assists this further. But crucially both also prevent any debris getting into the shoe. The Boa lacing system allows you to get incredible hold around the foot for stability and comfort. The sole unit with the white Frixion rubber is as grippy/ sticky as it comes - the highest grip of any La Sportiva sole. For running in wet, muddy conditions or snow and ice, this shoe can truly not be beaten. You should size up one half to one full size on your regular La Sportiva sizing for these shoes, especially if you plan on using them with double socks or thicker waterproof socks.
