Trail racing in the UK is making a comeback, starting with our own North Downs Way 100 on 8th August.  We couldn't be more excited!

We've made some changes to ensure our events can be held safely your kit choices on race day might look a little different this year...

    S-S-S-S-S-Smokin!!!

That's right, it's a weak Mask pun (sorry).  There's no escaping that you'll be needing a proper mask on race day in order to enter any indoor locations.  We have a limited quantity of lightweight, moisture-wicking masks from Trere and UYN which we think are the best on the market for what we do.

    Fits like a...er, glove

You'll doubtless have seen that we expect you to cover your hands when touching gates, styles etc.  You could use your sleeves or your regular winter mitts, but neither option works especially well if it's 25 degrees and you're in a T-shirt.

What you need is a super-light, wicking glove you can wear all day and stash in your race vest easily when you don't want them - may we recommend the Inov-8 All Terrain Glove.

    All you can eat

Our range of aid station food is necessarily a little constrained - there will still be plenty, but perhaps not the variety of home-baked treats you've come to expect.  You might want to consider bringing along more of your own personal faves - our selection of nutrition products is here for you.

We're big fans of Gu gels and Tailwind energy drink, but don't overlook the innovative Maurten range, which is a little more expensive but we find comes into its own when your stomach just won't take anything else.  And hey, if it's good enough for Kipchoge...

On the other hand, if you prefer 'real food', you can't beat a Chia Charge flapjack!
